Thoughts on the draft
Well, first of all, I'd like to thank everyone so far for reading my blog and making comments. I really appreciate you taking the time outta the day to read my thoughts.
I'm gonna answer some questions that I've been asked maybe 6,756,434,567,387,634,345 times since the end of the draft. Yes, I'm excited to be playing with Jerryd and Ike; not only because they both will help the team with their hard work and their great attitudes, but because they're from Arizona (Arizona State, I really don't claim, but Ike is the only exception).
I feel like we made some moves to make our team better in the draft and that everyone has been working out extremely hard even now to prepare for the long road next year. I can't really set goals for the team without being held accountable, but oh well, this year we need to make the playoffs. We have a playoff-caliber team.
With all the pieces we had last year and the new pieces we have this year, we are definitely making moves to become a very, very good team. The only thing I would say is to stick with us through the hard times because of the new players that we have, it's gonna take us some time to get used to each other and used to the rotations and how fast or slow we can play.
But once we get that going, we are going to be a very well-oiled machine and very hard to beat. I don't know what KP is going to do during the off-season, but i think eeryone knows that he's making the best decisions for the Trail Blazers and has been.
Basketball Season
Well, I know a lot of people want to ask me why some games I play, some I don’t, etc., etc. Well, to be frank: it's life. I mean, even though the game is extremely simple in nature, the NBA is infinitely complex.
So, I could throw out a million scenarios about what's going on with me or the team or whatever. But it comes down to this: I'm 24 years old, this is my 3rd year in the NBA. I'm finally embracing the type of game that I'm going to need to have, and the type of work ethic that I'm going to need to have, to not only survive, but to thrive, in this league.
It’s a business, and sometimes you need a harsh reminder of the seriousness of that. For me to play more, is for me to continue to be a consistent worker. Not only in the weight room and practice court, but in the games. Also, for me to understand my role on this team and to find a way to help not only myself, but the team, to be a good as we can be. The complicated part is that it changes at times and I'm getting used to that.
I love the game of basketball. It is not only who I am, but it is what I was put on this earth to do. Through basketball, I can do so may other things, but until that time that I'm done, there is nothing that I think about more…(other than God) than the game. So I just have to keep being aggressive, continue molding my game, and stay faithful that I will be given an opportunity to stay a part of this team for a long time, so that I may grow up both on and off the court with a class-act team and be a part of one of the greatest assembled teams in the history of the NBA in the future.

First time to Portland?
I have been in Portland for almost half a year now and I love it. I circled a map above to show where the Rose Garden is in Portland.
For all those that have been to a Blazer game this year you would know that the Rose Garden fills up and gets loud!

This was one of my best games of the year. The entire team had a great vibe that night.
