I appreciate the love and understand throughout these playoffs people may not like me anymore but I can't make everyone happy. I play for the Suns. The Suns gave me the chance I've always asked for and I'm going to do whatever it takes to win and to help my team to get better everyday.

But on the side, this blog is a great outlet that can show the me outside of basketball. Thanks to everyone for reading and to those who have stayed supportive.

Well readers, I'd have to say the writing bug bit me again. Sorry about that lapse, sometimes it just happens like that. Where do I start. I guess I'll just start from the beginning, no j/k.

Being here in Phoenix is truly a blessing. I have had so much fun just being on the court, trying to get better every day. The guys on this team, the staff, the front office people, they really are class acts.

Some questions I always get are how is it back home with the ticket situation and how is it playing with Steve Nash?

Playing at home for me has been divine timing. Being newly married, all I do is spend time with my wife and with my close friends. It's funny, people said marriage is work but if you truly Love that person it's not work at all. But anyway, sorry I got off track.

Being at home and tickets. I'd have to say that it hasn’t been bad at all because people see me more than just at games. They just take turns, plus most of my people already had tickets so that helps.

The big question: playing with Steve Nash. Well, I'll say this, I truly try and pick his brain every chance I get. He is a two-time MVP and easily, without a doubt, the best floor general I've ever played with or seen. His basketball IQ has to be the highest I've ever seen. The game, at times because of the way he plays, seems so slow and he just takes what the defense gives him. It's our job to be in our spots where we're threats to make a play. The way he takes care of his health is so disciplined. Maybe in 5 or 6 years I'll start on exactly what he's doing, but being here I've really changed my diet around a lot and I have to say I haven’t felt better.

On another subject, I do miss the city of Portland. I'll be back during the summer, of course, rolling in my Lincoln, going to the same ole spots, playing pickup at PSU and University of Portland, doing pilates at Nike, and making sure I keep a watchful eye over the beautiful city from my high-rise.

I've learned a lot about myself this year and we're only halfway through. It's been an experience that I can definitely talk to my friends about all summer.

I have to take a time out and just say that, in all honesty, I can not thank the people who support me either on or off the court enough (I don’t mind if you don’t like my game), whether you’ve supported my AAU team, the Bull Dogs, the MS Foundation, or if you still have my bobble head up in your store -- I truly appreciate.

The NBA and this game for us is short lived and these memories that we have of each other - good or bad - are things that we can always talk about. As I sit on a plane typing this, I can only think about 3 things:

1. I think about thanking God every second for even having the opportunity to be out there playing
2. I think about how can I help our team get better and how can I improve on my game
3. And then I think about what an experience I'm going through, what an opportunity. And if I were to look back to when I was growing up pretending to be Jordan or Barkley on the outside courts, maybe somewhere someone has the updates on 2k7 where I have the 3pt shot above my head and they love using my guy to rain tre balls on unsuspecting opponents, lol.

But anyways people, thanks again for reading. I'm going to keep up, maybe give you guys a weekly blog again telling you about what's going on a little more. It'll help me work on my writing, which I love to do, and it’ll keep the people who read my stuff an inside scoop (sorta) on whats going on.

So, see ya next week.

So people I really just wanted to take the time out and brag about my new toy. I had to upgrade my BS old desktop. I always break my laptops because I'm so rough with them and travel so much but I feel like this one is off to a way better start than the rest. So, let me give you a breakdown of what my death box is and before we get started you'll need two things:

#1 a glass of water because when you scream for excitement for me your throat will get sore and
#2 you'll need to put your jealousy aside and just congratulate.

As my people say in the old country “don’t hate, congratulate.”

Here we go:

• 30-inch cinema display
• Mac pro tower
• 8-core
• 6 gigs or ram
• 3 tb hard drive
• 512 mb video card

Which all equals one thing: PWNAGE (yes, I said pwnage).

So guys, I mean, really, I was kinda sorta semi-ballin' at Warcraft before I'm definitely gonna be the computer game master after this. So please, if you see me online just send me some bows/applause (all WOW gamers will know what I'm talking about).

Well, hey everyone. I know it's been a while since I've written something deep. But, hey, that’s how life is sometimes. One thing I have to say is thanks again to everyone who supports me and the C. Frye Foundation. I love reading everyone's emails because, yes, I do read them all.

Well, since I prefaced this whole story, already I received an email from a fan who had a great question. I was asked a few weeks ago about the Sam Adams “controversy." For everyone who doesn’t know, Sam Adams was the Mayor of Portland and resigned due to an issue with his “supposed” underage gentlemen. He is gay; he was actually the 1st gay mayor of a top 30 state in America. Well, anyway, they asked me about the whole situation and my answer was “ewwww.” Of course, me being who I am, I didn’t think of how that was going to come across because they didn’t preface it that Sam Adams is a 47-year old man and that was the reason I said eww. It had nothing to do with him being gay. I couldn't care less -- gay, straight, bi, whatever -- he could be a dang king of the L.A.R.P.ing community; if he is doing what he needs to do for the city of Portland and the state of Oregon, I'm cool with it.

I am not a homophobe. Live and let live. But that brings me to my subject of this whole little blog entry. I appreciate the person who sent me that email asking to clarify what he read because in today's age, things get lost in translation and I open the public up to ask me whatever they want. Of course, I'm gonna not answer a lot of questions having to do with either my personal life or my teammates' personal lives, but I really want this to be a forum for people to be able to get closer and to have a deeper insight on not only how we think or live as professional athletes, but a better way that we can continue this great relationship between the athletes of Portland and the fans.

During the holidays this season we have so much to be thankful for. No matter what happens on or off the basketball court, we literally all have good lives.

This year me and my fiancé really wanted to give back and help someone have a great Christmas because knowing we helped make a difference for others will make our Christmas that much better. We personally have a family that we're giving to and my Foundation is helping some charities and other families.

I want to encourage you to donate whatever you can. If you want to contribute - toys, clothes, money, canned goods -- whatever you can spare, we'll make sure they get to people who it will really mean something to. You can send stuff to my Foundation office:

C. Frye Foundation
5555 N 7th Street, PMB 5332
Phoenix, AZ 85014

Or, if you want to donate on your own, there are holiday drop spots in every city, just look for them when you're out and about.

Yesterday, I had my first surgery, other than my eyeballs earlier this summer.

In a short period of time the Blazers staff helped me to identify the problem and quickly schedule surgery to allow time for healing and rehab, in order to get back out on the court.

Though no one ever wants surgery, I feel better for having taken care of the ankle before the season got started. I want to thank the fans, especially the BLAZER FANS for their continued support.

From the Trail Blazers site:

Channing Frye Undergoes Successful Arthroscopic Ankle Surgery

Forward/center Channing Frye underwent arthroscopic surgery today to remove bone spurs from his left ankle. A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Saturday and Computed Tomography (CT) Scan today revealed the spurs.

"Channing underwent arthroscopic surgery today on his left ankle after recently experiencing discomfort," said Trail Blazers General Manager Kevin Pritchard. “We expect him to make a full recovery in 8-10 weeks.”

Dr. Richard Ferkel performed the surgery at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Van Nuys, Calif.
