A poll about my baby
My wife and I are expecting our first child. Super excited. We've decided we want to be surprised about whether it's a boy or girl, but let us know your guess. We'll be sure to let you know when it's born what it turns out to be.

Congrats Channing, on everything this year. The way you’ve helped with our playoff push to your new pride and joy. It’s been unbelievable to have you back in the Valley. Go Cats!!! Go Suns!!! Let’s go for that boy…..LOL.

Has Pastner sent a recruiting letter yet?
April 6th, 2010 - 13:28
Congrats to you both, Channing! I’m one of your Portland fans — and a fellow Wildcat. I’m expecting my first baby in 6 weeks (a boy). It’s an exciting and scary time, but I bet you’ll be a great dad.
Glad to hear things are going so well for you!
April 6th, 2010 - 13:34
Congratulations to you and your wife! I am a mother of two boys and believe me when I say there is no greater joy then your child!
PS We miss you in Portland!

Mazel tov from the PDX! Channing, you’re gonna be a super dad. I just did some quick math and realized you’re wife’s probably looking at a very long summer like mine did.. but in Phoenix! I’ve been there in the summer, so I offer two words for her comfort and your sanity: THE MALL.
P.S. I guess you know a lot of us up here will always be rooting for you (except for about 4 games per season). I’m glad you found a good team who appreciates your skills.
April 6th, 2010 - 22:41
congrats, from another fan missing you in Portland (actually not in Portland, but a Portland fan). Good luck on your new career – the most important one, really
April 7th, 2010 - 16:53
Twins! That is my vote. Congrats.
April 8th, 2010 - 14:39
Congratulations, for the first time ever you scored when it mattered!!
April 8th, 2010 - 16:23
Just want to point out to the first comment on here that you have hit many bigs shots when it mattered ha. Congrats on the child and you better be staying in phoenix we love you man!
April 8th, 2010 - 16:24
Sorry not the first comment but the comment right above me
April 8th, 2010 - 18:57
I’m a little amazed that the biological 51% girl 49% boy breakdown (at least when I voted) was predicted by voting Suns fans.
April 8th, 2010 - 21:28
Congratulations! Yet another addition to the Frye family tree
April 9th, 2010 - 03:22
Congratulations! I wish my firstborn is a boy
Is impossible to predict the sex of your firstborn but I would bet on “boy”
April 9th, 2010 - 10:16
My wife and I decided not to know the sex for our two girls. It was very exciting, the only thing we really wanted were healthy children.
April 14th, 2010 - 03:16
We are all going for you. Win tomorrow. And it’s probably going to be a boy.
April 18th, 2010 - 18:10
Another hearty congratulations from Portland, Channing! Wish you were still here, but glad you’re having so much success down there with the Suns. Looking forward to seeing you around town this summer!
April 19th, 2010 - 14:47
Another Portland fan, Channing. SO happy for you and your wife! Just think of all the fun things you’re going to get to relive through this kid, you guys will have a blast.
It’s fun to see you in the playoffs, even if you seem to be wearing the wrong jersey.
Keep up the blogging, Portland loves you like family.
April 19th, 2010 - 16:34
How exciting!! CONGRATS!! I have a feeling it will be a girl. Have the two of you thought of any names? Keep us posted:)
April 21st, 2010 - 13:47
Congrats to you and Lauren Cuz.
I’m kinda particular to little girls myself. They have a way of wrapping Daddy around their little finger immediately if not sooner.
If the Suns meet us in the NBA Finals, who do I root for? Stellar season you’ve had, both the team and you individually. I guess the move home has allowed you to play the type of game you feel most comfortable with and can excel at.
I’ll be watching and TVOing when necessary.
Good luck in the playoffs.
Peace
April 23rd, 2010 - 05:37
Congrats to you ~
Whether a boy or a girl,I hope you grow up
Good luck in the playoffs
April 24th, 2010 - 16:53
I know you probably won’t get this message but I just wanted to say you are a great player but more importantly you a great person. It is a joy to watch you and you are a great roll model like so many of your team mates.
April 25th, 2010 - 06:12
Um, ignore that commenter above. He/she would love you if you were playing the same way for the Blazers right now. Guess this sort of person would just prefer that you curl up in a fetal position and let the Blazers run a lay-up line around you.
As a Blazers fan, I certainly root against the Suns, but I still have a soft spot for Channing Frye and I’m glad you’ve landed in a good situation for yourself.
April 25th, 2010 - 14:56
congratulations from Portland.
I am sorry to hear Portland gave you some boos after your late foul on Batum. I don’t think you deserved that. For what it is worth, I thought it was a just a normal playoff foul. Looked like a makeup for the call on Bayless.
Miss you in Portland, but happy that you are playing so well for a great Phoenix team.
April 27th, 2010 - 16:36
Not long ago, I read an article in Men’s Health magazine that stated if the father is four or more years older than the mother, there is a 70% chance that the first born will be male. In any case, best of luck to you and your wife!
April 29th, 2010 - 23:30
Good luck Channing in Round 2 and with your baby. So glad that you will be surprised on the baby’s big day. That’s the way it should be. And for the record, I think that you will have a girl!
