avatar_postersI've been meaning to blog about Avatar, which I say is the best movie ever. I don't even want to hear about it.

What do you think?

  1. Definitely.

  2. Movie is good in terms of special effects but I really do not understand the hype apart from the cost of the movie 500 million dollars, to me this movie is very predictable nothing too surprising. As I said 3D special effects are nice but 3 hours was a little too much for me…

  3. Don’t forget how Anthony stood over you. You need some revenge for that!

  4. Is was a great movie, but am i the only one that felt that it revolved all around politics?

  5. The effects were great but the storyline was mediocre and predictable. For example, the tough and rugged sergeant that wouldn’t die, fights to the end and tows the company line, give me a break. On a political note I don’t like the meme that humans are the enemy, this being a main assumption floating around the Global Warming movement. Either way the politics in the movie are subtle and shouldn’t effect the experience one way or another.

I would argue that this was the best hyped movie in years. I would be curious how Twitter and blogs play a role in this. All in all I would give it a 8/10 as the pacing was good and the effects were great while the storyline didn’t add or detract from the experience.

  6. Wait, so you don’t want to hear about it, but you want opinions? Are we supposed to pantomime opinions about the movie?

  7. I like avatar. I thinks this is a new style of movie.

substitute the blue people for black people, and the planet for africa, and you get: tarzan, a violent white man who leads the natives against his own corrupt, modern, lame “civilisation”…

how does that same old story make for the best movie ever?
