Just wanted to pass on a big congrats! Sad to see you leave, but happy for your opportunities to get out there and show em what you got! Glad I got to meet you and thanks for fun times.
Hi Channing,
Thanks for all you have done with the Trail Blazers as well as what you have done for this city. We were proud to have you & can’t wait to have you visit.
I’m so happy for your opportunity in Phoenix! You are an awesome player with a lot to offer. Show Phoenix what u got!
It’s so weird seeing the PHX logo on your main page. You’ll be missed, Channing. Good luck in Phoenix. Come back to your new home during the off-season. Like a lot of other people on here, I always looked forward to your restaurant reviews and recommendations. What the heck am I going to do now?
I’m so thrilled to have you back home, Channing. You’re one of the all-time great ‘Cats. Now, I get to watch you play for my favorite NBA team. Go show those people in the Valley what an Arizona alum can do!
I don’t like this! But sincere best wishes and thanks for making Portland a better place while you were here. I hope you know you’ll always have a home here. And a plate of wings at Fire on the Mountain waiting for you.
Sad that you are really gone from the Blazers but happy that you are happy Channing! Congrats on landing with the Suns. I hope that you are delighted to have a chance to show your mad skills!!!!!
Hello Channing: I’ve had half an eye on you since I caught you being interviewed on a Knicks pre-game show…you seemed like such a nice kid with such a good head on your shoulders! I believe in being a fan of a ‘team’ – which is almost impossible to do in this age of Free Agency and 3way trades…(Patrick should have retired a Knick…) for me, as a fan of NBA Basketball it’s not simply about winning – it’s about caring about the players – especially after a tough game; experiencing the ‘heartbreak’ of losing right along with you all…believing that the loss could only make you, make the team stronger…I was getting to know the Knicks again – beginning to care again – you, Nate, Jamal…then you were gone…I was through with it! And I’m still through with it…Anyway – I’ll keep half my eye on you in Phoenix…stay sweet (nice guys sometimes finish last – but they always finish…)
I think Frye will have the last laugh! In this day good guys end up being on top, guys that work hard and believe. Frye has the opportunity to put his career back on track in a town and team that respects his game.It was great to see his current coach show him some love. We’re all watching and believe me we want FRYE to succeed.
Hey Channing, congrats on becoming a Sun…great to have you back in Arizona…you are great fit for the suns, a guy i’ve wanted on the team for a long time…i smell a breakout year coming!…
good luck with the suns, i’ll be watching as many games i can, and go suns!
and by the way, go ASU (sorry, had to say that)…and say hi to mr. smith for me…he used to be my teacher, and had nothing but praise for your character and your game…
I live in Phoenix but am a Life long Blazer Fan. I love Portland. I miss it. My family and I loved what you brought to the Blazers and the community of Portland. My Mother-in-law prepped you for your Lasik surgery and was moved by how engaging and wonderful of a human being you are. So Now we have to be Suns fans. I hate that part. I’ve hated them since Thunder Dan and Barkley. But for one of my all time favorite Blazers I will follow you and root for you forever. GOOD LUCK and KPW.
Channing…will miss you here in Portland! you were one of my favorite players; I think the Blazers made a big mistake and I’m sure you’ll remind them of that when you play against them. Best of luck with the Suns…they just improved exponentially by getting you.
Best of luck Chan-man. Your time in Portland was too short, but it sounds like you are stepping into an opportunity to really contribute and where you’ll be able fill a substantial role.
You are a great fit in the Suns system and now you have Mr. Nash feeding you the rock! Looking forward to some huge numbers from you and hopefully seeing you in the playoffs!
Somebody at Blazers Edge just wrote a really moving post about a touching gesture you made for he and his father with MS. The story, in which you are prominently featured, has really resonated with the community. You can read it here:
Will miss you in Portland. Honestly, i wish you didn’t get picked up so you could join Mike Barrett and Mike Rice on the sidelines as the 3rd commentator.
WE will miss you…thanks for sittin on the bench and doing your part when called upon…you are a true profressonal in the world of basketball…make your free throws and get the rebounds…see you oct.14th…I’m sure the Rose city will give you a warm welcome back after all you are Mr.Portland..
The Little dude from the V.Q who gave you shit for letting Ike take your min…I also made your brunch for every time you came in…Step away from the cat fish and try something else…take care and good luck with that other team!!!
