Man, I am tired of seeing Portland “raise” young talent by parking them on the end of the bench, just to see them get traded and KICK ASS some where else. I liked you from day 1, and felt you were robbed of playing time. With Travis going down for a while, YOU could make us look really good right now. Best of luck in Phoenix.

I am a Blazers fan for life, born and raised. I loved what you were able to offer us and was sorry to see you go. Not only are you a great basketball player, but you are a great person. I am so happy that you’ve found a home and a starting position in Phoenix and am ecstatic in regards to the success that you’ve found there. I met you briefly at the season ticket holders party last year when I introduced myself to you as the person who took on your pizza challenge. Looking for a place to say thanks and I think I found it in this thread. Being a Blazers fan living in Portland I can’t root for the Suns outright, you know, unless you’re playing the Lakers, Rockets or the like. However I will be keeping an eye on your box scores and rooting for you. I wish you were able to play a better role in Portland cause you seem to be such a great person. So yes, like many of us Portlanders, super sad it didn’t work out for you here. Good luck either way! Hope you keep Portland your home in the offseason and into the future!

Channing, we’re so happy to see you thriving with the Suns! We really miss you here in Portland. (Don’t really understand why things evolved the way they did for you last season but, oh well. That’s part of the human drama of professional sports, I guess. Personalities, conflicting agendas, vicissitudes.)

Last week, when I asked my sweetie if he wanted a jersey for Christmas, he said… maybe. (Because he feels shy about wearing a jersey, I guess. Too dorky.) But! Here’s what he said next: “If you buy me a jersey, get me a Suns jersey… with Frye on the back.”

You were always one of our favorites and I loved getting to cheer my heart out for you at the preseason game at the Coliseum. My bobble head still sites on my desk at work – although, have you noticed it kinda looks more like Barack Obama than you?

i wish they would have given you more time to play rather than sitting on the bench bro. just know that you will always have a soft spot here in portland. hopefully playing on phx will get you the time you need to develop into a superstar. good luck

Thank you, man. I’m sorry it didn’t work out long-term with the Blazers. They may well be regretting it now! In any case, looks like you’ve got a great thing going in Phoenix so far, and if the Blazers can’t win it this year, you, Nash and the boys in Arizona have my full support.
