Good on art; need other ideas
First, thank you for responding to my question for recommending local artwork. I have discovered that not only is Portland full of hippies, but full of artsy fartsy folks, LOL - JK! I wish I could put everyone's work on my walls but I don't make that much money, so I had to narrow it down.
And I have looked in depth at all the suggestions as my foot has been elevated during this rehabilitation process. I'm still deciding. It's a hard process because of all the extraordinary talent that is out there. Once I do choose and the art is on my walls, I'll take a photo of my choices and post it on the blog so you guys can see them.
Thanks again for participating. A lot of my friends also got artwork from what you've recommended on the blog.
Since I've been injured, I realize how much I thrive on physically and mentally challenging myself all the time. Being immobile for a week has been great and agonizing. It's great to rest my body before the season, but my personality and who I am, it's making me crotchety and I will be until my cast comes off.
All I do is sit here and play Warcraft. So, if anybody wants to get seriously beat at NCAA '09 Football, send a friend invite and get some tissues because of the whooping you'll get, you'll want to cry. I take all challenges. That's what I've been doing. Just resting and not taking any chances on not healing right. I'm extremely excited to get this cast off on Wednesday.
For now, tell me what you want to hear because my creative juices are not flowing at maximum capacity.

Hey Channing, I was sorry to hear about your injury but glad you won’t have to miss too much of the season!
looking forward to seeing your selections, I’ve gone around the Pearl for first Thursdays a lot and found a lot of cool artwork and some real head scratchers too, so at least there’s a lot to choose from.
Hey what server / side do you play on WOW? I’m Alliance and Hellscream… I’m a little jealous you get to play all day…

Keep resting well — we need you when the season starts!!! Have you thought about volunteering at the Special Olympics Youth Games out at Nike on Saturday morning? Just come and watch the kids play basketball if nothing else, I’m sure they would enjoy the moral support!

I had a question: What do NBA and other sports players do when they gotta go to the bathroom while playing the game?
Lets say the game is intense, and they play a lot of minutes…but they absolutely feel awful because they gotta go to the bathroom…do they do it during timeouts, or what? Just hold it? What if they drank a bunch of fluid, or had a big meal?
Whats your favorite meal to eat before a big game?

my warcraft toon is either one of 3 that i play. yes yes yes i know im a nerd but hey i get to put my feet up and play a very (very) time consuming game well my name is dookiedrawls(gnome mage) hes on the proudmore server. ok let me make a disclaimer that i do do normal things a couple buddies of mine got me playing and so i play alot with them, other nba buddies byt he way so im not the only one. Also on the zul’jin server i have a hunter (tauren)name eatmochkin and those are probabaly the two i play the most. and i ususaly eat alot fo pasta before the game because of how much energy i use. We dont need to go to the bathroom while were runnign up n down we go before and when theyre a timeout you can go. also my gamer tag is cf07 if you like that thing called losing

Alright I have always wondered this. Do NBA players always play as themselves in games like the NBA 2k series or the Live series? What are their reactions like when they see how they were designed? Come on I know Starbury or Arenas or somebody went crazy when they saw themselves. Speaking of Agent Zero, he plays video games 24/7. you ever play against him or anything?

You are a great guy to have around this team and city Channing…plus you are a better PF than Outlaw anyday. I like Travis and all, but if i had to choose to keep, it would be you. look at it here…you shoot the ball better, rebound and defend the post much better. Travis does present matchup issues for opposing teams, but we also give up a lot on the defensive end for that slight mismatch. No good. Keep it up man, and you should get Madden ‘09 not NCAA. then you would be in some serious trouble. its all about the pros, you should know that.

Last time I read about an NBA player challenging all comers to a video game was Andrew Bynum with Halo 3. You guys should get together and play some NBA ‘09. Some healthy Blazer/Laker competition in the virtual world could be fun.

Hey Channing, I played against someone on xbox live on NBA 2k8 a while back that played as the Blazers and put you in the lineup and was just unstoppable nailing threes from all over the place. Was that you perhaps? Haha I would not be surprised at all.
