My blog…and Flugtag
I just wanted to thank Willamette Week for including my blog as a favorite Portland thing. We're coming up with more stuff so the more feedback you can give me, the better. We're just here to entertain you and talk about what's going on with the world we live in.
Also, I'll be a judge at the Red Bull Flugtag event on Aug. 2. It's free to the public at Tom McCall Waterfront Park so definitely come check it out. Let me know if you've been to one and how it is.

Channing, love the blog. I live in Austin, and we had Flugtag down here last year. It’s a lot of fun, and it really brought people out. It was so packed they stopped letting people in to the fenced in area where everything went down. People didn’t care though, everyone was just hanging out having a good time.

Something you must remember Channing: Do not touch anyone who has come into contact with the Willamette River. You’re way to important to come down with a case of pollution-induced cancer. This time of the year, the brown brine that flows through the middle of the city can eat through a person’s skin within minutes.

Plain and simple… Flugtag kicks ass. It was a blast in ‘04, I’m sure it will be awesome this year.

Heya, the flugtag is alot of fun assuming you aren’t a wife of one of the team members and roped into sewing costume ;0). I am doing my wifely duty and giving a shameless plug for team #9 Naugahyde Numbskulls, a team giving tribute to WOW (World of Warcraft) in full geeked-out glory. Hey man.. not sure if my friends band is playing Flugtag this year (they did before), but if so, be sure to check out the March Fourth Marching Band. Huge brass n’ drums band with stilt walkers and all the freakiness you’d ever want. Talk about “keep portland wierd”.

I am so excited for the Flugtag event! It is a fun atmosphere for everyone! Can’t wait for the 2nd of august! You will have a blast judging!
