Shaq Rap
Have you guys seen this? Okay, there are some cuss words but they're mostly bleeped out in this version. So, what do you think? Is he joking? Did he mean it? I wanna know your thoughts.

I thought it was a little extreme.I thought the fight between them was over by know. Anywho, I could care less because I don’t really care for Kobe. But he still didn’t have to put him on blast, Kobe will win another championship(Without Shaq) before his career is over.
Oh Yeah was that rap a freestlye or did he write that in advance?

I heard an interview with Adam Yauch (of the Beastie Boys fame) who’s take on the rap was that he put out the line about Kobe not doing it without him, got a big reaction from the crowd, and just kinda kept rolling with it.
While it’s true that he probably did get caught up in the moment, I still think it does symbolize some hostility that exists between the two of them.

I thought it was hilarious. but then again, i don’t like kobe at all and think Shaq is a hilarious, so I am a bit biased. I love the fact that kobe can’t win a championship without shaq but shaq can win one without kobe. I would have thought it would have been the other way but i am loving it.

Channing I want to hear your thoughts on the draft and what you think about the signings? You lost a bonafide killer in JJ and I want to know who you think can step and fill that role? I love the blog by the way…Keep it up!

1st of it looks as if Shaq is reading this “rap” I think it is maybe on a big screen, and he’s just reading it off! and then the croud goes wild, so he repeats himself over and over again. Cmon, this man has nothing going on upstairs, and his eyes don’t even look straight!!
Last, Channing, you just had some b-ball camps & Golf in AZ we’d LOVE to hear you those went, and maybe some UP COMING meet-n-greet events with YOU in PORTLAND!!
I come to your page everyday, in hopes to see a new blog, keep it up, we enjoy hearing from you!!!

Hey Channing,
Great blog found it off Yardbarker.com.
Gotta hand it to Shaq for creating a stir and making himself relevant again.

bonafide killer in Jack?? if you mean in killing fast breaks! Jack was a nice guy but he was a turnover machine and we will be better with bayless.

It was pre-written and Shaq meant it. Love it. Just shows how great of a player a linebacker can be. I am very glad that Shaq left L.A. because he has grown on me a lot. Screw Kobe. He couldn’t get it done without Shaq. Well…at least not this year.
July 2nd, 2008 - 14:18
The rap is classic. I’d like to thank Shaq for not only degrading Kobe, but giving us a saying for the summer. “Insert name here”, tell me how my a** tastes.
July 2nd, 2008 - 16:25
Larry I was talking about James Jones I should have clarified. Jack was a hard worker and thats about it. James Jones was an assasin.
July 2nd, 2008 - 16:40
Well jones could still sign back so hes not gone yet, but I do think he will be cause of the $

I think Shaq is pretty funny, but his rapping skills are weak. Did we really need to know about his snip-snip to the ‘boys’?
I agree with Johnny Mack’s posting… let’s hear some of your thoughts about off-season moves, your hopes/goals for next season, etc.
Thx!

Well as previously stated, SEATTLE SONICS are GONE!!!! Let’s put 2 and 2 together… Paul Allen owns the Blazers…. Paul Allen LIVES in SEATTLE,…. I PREDICT that the BLAZERS will be MOVING,.. and to guess where…. SEATTLE?? I was born and raised in Portland… and Oregonians are known for protesting…there for I ALSO predict… RIOTS!!!!!!!!

Shaq’s jealousies of Kobe (for one reason or another) are so transparent – even to this day. I’m not a Kobe fan but it’s looking like when it’s all said and done – Kobe will reach full maturity before his newfound ‘buddy’ will.
Poor Diesel.
July 3rd, 2008 - 20:50
As a long time Blazer fan I maintain a keen dislike of the Lakers and their players as a basic principal. So normally I’d never defend a Laker… but really, how can Shaq trash talk Kobe this season? Shaq and the Suns didn’t play nearly as well as the Kobe and the Lakers. Heck, I think the Suns were worse after the Shaq-Marion trade.
That kind of trash talk is pretty pathetic… especially since he can’t back it up with the scoreboard this year.
July 7th, 2008 - 16:20
That was awesome. I watched it for like a Week straight when it first came out. The Diesel ain’t Bishop Lamont on the mic, but he still loves to try and be an MC. And he has gone platinum many times over, so who knows?
July 7th, 2008 - 19:20
I THINK THAT IT WAS COMICAL! AHAHA. SERIOUSLY. KOBE SUCKS! I MEAN HE HAS GOOD TALENT BUTT HE IS SUCH A SCUM. IN MY OPINION. YA KNO? BUTT SHAQ HAS NO RIGHT TO TALK. HE ISNT EXACTLY MR.PERFECT EITHER. OBIOUSLY….
July 7th, 2008 - 21:35
I think Shaq was joking around… He may have taken it a bit too far but only for the fact that he also represents someone who’s supposed to be in law enforcement. So I think it was correct that he was relieved of duty from his “officer” gig, but I think the media blew the rap itself WAY out of context. Everyone who knows Shaq, has to know that he makes cracks at people all the time and I don’t think that it’s intended to be mean or hateful.
July 8th, 2008 - 02:12
I think it’s pretty lame — even if he was joking. What did he think would happen? The media was clearly going to eat this up, and it just made Shaq look like a D-Bag.
He should spend less time getting drunk in clubs and cheating on the mother of his children, and more time getting his ass in shape.
July 8th, 2008 - 13:00
Kobe….tell me how my ass taste
Best rap everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
July 8th, 2008 - 13:43
I think Shaq is a loser – that’s what I think.
He’s never been funny, he’s lacks intelligence (though maybe that’s relative to who hangs in his posse), and without D-Wade having debatably the greatest Finals of any player, ever, Shaq wouldn’t have that extra ring.
Kareem would have owned him – mentally and physically.
Channing – wouldn’t trade you for Shaq – in his PRIME (which he left behind years ago).
