Products to check out
I was thinking I really have noticed I have an eclectic group of readers. I feel like, why not offer a forum for people to plug their company? So, if you want me to check out your product and post what I think is really good and hopefully encourage more people to buy what you're selling, let me know.
I had one reader send me some beef jerky and I was a little skeptical about it at first but then, seriously, in all honesty, after I tasted it, it was legit -- the best beef jerky I have ever had in my life.
So this is for KC...thanks for the samples (and feel free to send more any time)!
And, you can order from his site at http://www.kcsjerky.com
So I'd like to give everyone who reads this a chance to plug their company. Do you have a pet grooming business I should try? Do you sell sunflower seeds? Lay down why we, the common people, should try your product.
If you want to send samples to me so I can give a personal recommendation and promote it on my blog and or site, I love checking stuff out:

My husband is a BIG Jerky fan, so what flavor did he give you, that was SO GOOD?? I’m for sure going to order some from your link!! Thank you for allowing people to “plug” their companies and help support the small businesses!
Lastly,
I realize Starbucks is good, but I’ve found the worlds BEST coffee, it’s a cute little drive though on 122nd and Stark (fabric depot parking lot) called “D’s Coffee” I highly recommened the Sugar Free White Chocolate Mocha!!
I’m in no way affiliated with D’s Coffee, I’m just a customer that LOVES their coffee, and supporting SMALL businesses!!!

My roommate just opened up the Black Sheep Cafe over off of NE Sandy. I had a ridiculously good Bacon Tempeh/BBQ Tofu sandwich there yesterday. Their house smoked turkey is really good as well and they have lots of vegan/veggie options for folks. That place is going to blow up soon, go check it out!

Not my company, just a proud owner: You’ve got to get a Traeger Grill. After having mine, I’ll never go back to gas or charcoal. Your food tastes better and you don’t burn anything, plus, they are headquartered in Mt. Angel, OR.
Seriously, check it out.

So not really a product, but would love your opinion since i am trying to grow it into a career. http://www.myspace.com/harlequin27
Not of it is mixed or mastered so it isnt top audio quality yet. Just moved up to portland from the San Francisco bay area and i am still looking for a producer up here. Lemme know what you think! Thanks!

100% agree with the Traeger Grill! They are a lot more expensive than your average Webber but you get what you pay for…you can even cook a pizza on the Traeger!
I dont know if they exhist, but they should make travel grills so we can all take the Traeger on the road, camping, boating, whatever! So good…

I know this isn’t really a product but since you seem to be a big fan of four footed critters thought I would share info on Homes for Hounds. We are a non profit greyhound adoption agency based in Waldport. We’ve almost rebuilt from the fire that destroyed our kennels last December and look forward to continuing to match loving families with their very own special 45 mph couch potato. We have a big event this Saturday 7/12/08 at Petutopia. it’s a sports day with info on different dog sports, a silent auction to benefit h4h and several greys auditioning for their new forever homes. hope to see you and your puppies there.

Hey Channing,
Ever since I saw Milton and Lily in Edible Portland I’ve been wanting to make them custom dog coats. My family runs Sellwood Dog Supply in SE and we make rain coats and fleece pullovers. Usually Bulldogs need custom coats on account of their burly chests but that’s perfect since we do that too. Anyway, it’s July obviously so it’s a little preseason, if you will, but I’d still love the opportunity to outfit them proper. The only downside is that I would need measurements, a girth (around their chest) and then down their backs collar to tail while standing. We could design something really fantastic for them, so I hope you’ll take me up on it.
Anyway, it’s been great having you on the team and thanks for the opportunity!
Rebecca
