NBA Finals
Since we're to the finals, I would like to say that these were some of the better playoff games I've ever seen in my life.
I think the 1st round matchups were ehhh-aight for TV and for certain teams but for the conference finals I was really excited to see how those games went because both the East and the West are extremely evenly matched.
My pick to win it all was Detroit but since the Lakers beat the Spurs, the NBA finals will be great. I give respect to Detroit and the Spurs but the way they both play doesn't exactly keep everyone glued to the TV.
Who's your pick?

I have to root for Boston. I also had Detroit picked, though.

I’m betting on the Lakers, but I’d like to see great non-winners like KG, Allen, and Pierce win a title. The Lakers will be good for many more years, but the Celtics have a shorter window to win a title.

The entire playoffs I’ve been rooting for whoever is playing the Lakers. I must admit, in terms of entertainment, I’d much rather watch the Lakers vs. Celtics than Spurs vs. Celtics… GO BOSTON!

Cuz,
I’m gonna hafta go with L.A. this time although I’d like to see Boston win and give KG, Ray & Paul a ring b 4 they retire. I just feel that L.A. is too young with a deeper bench than Boston. But, stranger things have happened. It’s gotta be some good BBall, right?

Hi Channing! Well, I hope that the Celtics get it done. I’ve really enjoyed watching the match ups. Next year, you guys will have at it!
Hey! How about those Cubs?!! I just added another sports channel
so I’ll be able to watch them in Eugene!
Hope that you are having a terrific vacation. Please keep on blogging. Can’t wait to watch the Blazers in summer league. Go Blazers!

I think this years finals will be close. If all the big three from the Celtics play well then it will be a close call with it tied up in Game #6. KG deserves a ring.
That was nice to see you at McFaddens on Saturday, my roomies and I went to Blitz afterwards and played shuffle board the rest of the night. You should try Blitz one of these nights and see if you like it.

Celtics for sure! It will be a good series, but man, Kobe? Hells no! If he wasn’t so damn cocky maybe.

Blazers!!! well actually i would care more about hearing about Blazers draft workouts than the Celtics or Lakers right now.. it just feels wierd because both teams were artificially constructed.. I just found your blog Channing i always read Greg’s Yardbarker and stuff… GO BLAZERS!!!

I am rooting for the Celtics. I don’t see how any self-respecting Blazers fan could root for K*be and the L*kers.

ugh, really sick of the nba playoffs. The inconsistent officiating is driving me crazy. I am watching the NHL playoffs right now and it’s nice to see a game won on the ice and not by the stripes. I really can’t stand either NBA team but anyone but LA!
Overall the playoffs have kind of sucked this year. I was hyped for the west, but no series was really good at all, outside of utah/la..sure SA/NO went 7 but 6 of them were 10+ point blowouts. Overall, too many blowouts, not enough OT games.
Can’t wait to see Portland in the playoffs next year.

Since the Blazers aren’t there, does it really matter?
I was shocked it ended up being the celtics and the fakers. Who would’ve thought! The NBA is not what it used to be, and it will never be the same. I’m ready for the season to be over with. I’m tired of the refs, stern, announcers and all the faker #24 ass kissing.
But thanks for keeping up with your blog, I can somehow still feel connected with Blazers through this long wait till next year.
